Gamescom 2025: The World’s Biggest Gaming Event
Every August, Cologne, Germany, becomes the epicenter of global gaming, and this year is no exception.
Gamescom 2025 kicks off on Tuesday, August 19 at 20:00 CET with its spectacular Opening Night Live, hosted by Geoff Keighley and Sjokz.
The ceremony will feature world premieres and updates on highly anticipated titles such as Ninja Gaiden 4, Silent Hill f, and Resident Evil Requiem.
From August 20 to 24, the Koelnmesse exhibition grounds will welcome more than 1,500 exhibitors from 72 countries, making this the largest edition to date. Spanning over 233,000 square meters, Gamescom offers something for everyone:
- The Entertainment Area, with blockbuster studios like Ubisoft, Bandai Namco, SEGA, Capcom, Blizzard, Bethesda, and Netflix showcasing exclusive demos and hands-on world premieres.
- The Indie Area, where passionate developers from around the world present innovative and creative new titles.
- The Merchandise Area, featuring collectibles and branded products from giants like LEGO, Konami, and Wizards of the Coast.
- The Cosplay Village, alive with competitions, performances, and international cosplay stars.
- The Retro & Family Area, where players can rediscover classics and explore the latest family-friendly technologies.
- The Event Arena, home to esports competitions, live shows, and hundreds of fans cheering for their teams.
As Gerald Böse, CEO of Koelnmesse, underlined: “The record growth and international presence confirm the enduring success of Gamescom’s hybrid concept.”
Remote Resources at Gamescom: Representing Vietnam’s Gaming Industry
Remote Resources is proud to announce that Victor Vautrin, Co-CEO and Head of Europe, will attend Gamescom 2025 to represent our gaming arm, Saigon Dragon Studio (SDS).
SDS made waves earlier this year at Vietnam Gameverse 2025 with the reveal of its debut project, Space Tales, a story-driven sci-fi game that blends exploration and real-time strategy elements.
At Gamescom, Victor will showcase the latest version of Space Tales, offering international players and partners a first-hand look at the improvements since its initial reveal.
But that’s only the beginning: SDS is preparing an ambitious pipeline of future RTS (real-time strategy) titles, which will also be teased during the event.
By presenting these projects on a global stage, Remote Resources is underlining Vietnam’s growing role in the international gaming ecosystem.
Strengthening Global Partnerships
Beyond showcasing Space Tales, Victor Vautrin’s agenda at Gamescom 2025 is clear:
- Meeting with existing and future clients to discuss collaboration opportunities.
- Exploring strategic partnerships with publishers, distributors, and technology partners.
- Presenting new Remote Resources services such as toy and merchandise manufacturing, in collaboration with Play Trail, our dedicated toy production company.

Play Trail enables gaming companies to extend their intellectual property into toys, collectibles, and fan merchandise—bridging the gap between digital experiences and physical products.
With the backdrop of Gamescom’s Merchandise Area —where leaders like LEGO, Konami, and Wizards of the Coast gather— Victor will showcase how Vietnam can deliver creative, high-quality production solutions for the global gaming industry.
A Vietnamese Studio on a Global Stage
For Remote Resources and Saigon Dragon Studio, participating in Gamescom is more than just showcasing a game—it’s about putting Vietnam on the map as a creative and competitive player in the global gaming industry.
As Victor Vautrin puts it: “Gamescom is the perfect platform to show the world what Vietnamese studios are capable of—combining creativity, technical expertise, and international ambition.”
With Space Tales as its flagship and new RTS titles in the pipeline, SDS is ready to make its mark on the world stage.
